Questions to Ask Before a Compatibility Consultation
A private consultation goes better when you walk in with some clarity about what you’re actually asking. Here are the questions worth sitting with beforehand — for yourself, and some to ask Navin directly.
Questions to ask yourself first
- What outcome am I hoping to hear? It’s worth naming this honestly, even just to yourself. If you’re hoping for a specific guarantee — that someone will come back, that a marriage will definitely happen — it helps to know that going in, since astrology-based guidance can’t promise that (see our Disclaimer), and knowing your own hope in advance makes it easier to hear what’s actually being offered.
- Am I trying to understand myself, or trying to predict someone else? Both are reasonable things to bring to a consultation, but they lead to different conversations. If it’s mostly about someone else’s feelings or decisions, it’s worth remembering that a reading describes tendencies, not a guarantee of what they’ll do.
- Is there a specific decision in front of me, or am I looking for general reflection? “Should I have this conversation with my partner this month” is a different, more answerable question than “will we be okay,” and it’s worth figuring out which one you’re actually asking.
Questions worth asking Navin directly
- What will you need from me? He may ask for date, time, and place of birth — ask why, if it’s not clear, before sharing anything you’re not comfortable with.
- What format will this take, and how long will it run? This is confirmed with you directly before your session — see our Consultation page for what’s settled so far and what’s still being finalised.
- What can this consultation realistically help with, given what I’ve described? A good consultation sets expectations rather than just answering questions — it’s fine to ask directly what he thinks is and isn’t within scope for your situation.
One thing worth deciding before you message him
If what you’re dealing with involves safety — threats, coercive control, stalking, or feeling unsafe — please read the safety section of our Disclaimer or try our Relationship Clarity Questionnaire first. Astrology-based guidance isn’t the right tool for that situation on its own, and real support exists that’s better placed to help.
